ARMOR OF GOD
Conclusion

By Linda Sedrick Pearson

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

God tells us in Ephesians 6:11-17 to take the whole armor of God so that we can not only withstand the attacks of our enemy—the devil, but we will be able to stand up and face the enemy. We won’t have to turn and run from Satan if we are properly attired in the armor of God.

The armor consists of truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the word of God. Without one piece of the armor, we are not fully prepared for battle. One piece of armor, left off, will cause vulnerability in our spiritual life. Then, we will be open to attack.

The whole armor of God is this:

  • Loins girt with truth (Ephesians 6:14)
  • Breastplate of righteousness (Ephesians 6:14)
  • Feet shod with preparation of the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15)
  • Shield of faith (Ephesians 6:16)
  • Helmet of salvation (Ephesians 6:17)
  • Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17)

God tells us that our enemy is not of flesh and blood. We are not battling humans, we are battling the devil and demons. Our battle is spiritual not physical. The good thing is that Jesus, when He died on the cross and was resurrected from the dead, won the battle. Not only did He win the battle, but HE WON THE TOTAL WAR!!

My hope is that God blessed you and taught you through this series of studies about the whole ARMOR OF GOD.
