One of Their Choosing

Isa 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

I asked the Lord to send me, yet wherever I go, they will not listen. How can I speak when they look at me with closed eyes and their ears are heavy toward the word of God? How can I speak when they will not listen or see the one who God sent?

Yet, because of their heavy ears and closed eyes, they choose the one to put in charge of their congregation. They choose a professed homo-sexual. They over-look his sins and vote him in. Their hearts lack understanding.

Isa 6:9-10
  • 9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
  • 10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

Because they will hear and not understand, and will see but not perceive (know, understand, observe), God said their ears will be heavy and their eyes will remain shut. They won't hear and they won't see; therefore, they won't be converted (changed heart and changed moral character), and they won't be healed.

1 Co 6:9-10
  • 9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
  • 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
Eph 5:6-12
  • 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
  • 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
  • 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
  • 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
  • 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
  • 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
  • 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

They have made their choice. Now, because of their choice, they will not hear, not see, not be converted and not be healed.

What a sad day for the souls of that congregation!
