There Is Confusion

James 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Are you filled with confusion? Does it seem as if everywhere you turn there is envying and strife?
First, let's look at "strife". What is it? According to Webster's Dictionary it means:

  1. Exertion or contention for superiority; contest of emulation, either by intellectual or physical efforts.

  2. Contention in anger or enmity; contest; struggle for victory; quarrel or war.

  3. Opposition; contrast

This is not the way God intended us to live.
1Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
The fruit of God's Spirit are: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith (Galatians 5:22).
That is the fruit of the Spirit. The above is what grows from a person who is serving the Lord.
Are you tired of all the confusion? Are you tired of the envy and strife? Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Tell God that you are sorry for your wrong-doing (sin) and ask Him to forgive you. He will. He is waiting for you to turn to Him. He is waiting for you to accept His Son's, Jesus Christ's, death on the cross as payment for all your wrong-doing (sins).
Maybe you already accepted Jesus as your Saviour, but you are still living with envy, strife and confusion. Look inside yourself and make sure that you are not the one causing the confusion. If you are, kneel and pray. Ask God to forgive you. He is waiting for you!
Until next time,
Linda
