Are You Brokenhearted?
Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
Are you brokenhearted? Are you a captive of your own choices? Do you feel unloved and uncared for? Do you know there is a way out of your misery?
I come today to tell you the "good tidings." God loves you! God cares for you! God cares what happens to you! HE cares that you are brokenhearted. He cares that you are being held captive by your own choices. God loves you above and beyond anything and everything you have ever known or will ever know!
You may think that I don't know what I am talking about. Maybe you think that it is okay that God cares for others; but you think, "He would never care for me or love me!"
That is not true. God knew you before you were born, when you were in your mothers womb. ("Jer 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. ") God cares deeply for you. ("Isa 49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.")
You see, everyone else may forget about you or may cast you aside. God will never do that. He is waiting for you, child. Won't you reach out and grab on to Him? How do you do that?
Accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour. God provided His Son Jesus for us so that we may be saved. Jesus is the one that bridges the gap between us and God. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross for our sins.
All you have to do is pray (talk) to God. Tell Him that you love Him and you want Him to love you (He already does anyway). Tell God that you accept Jesus Christ as payment for all your sins. Tell God that you are sorry for all your sins and that you know you can not pay for those sins. Tell God that you know only the blood of Jesus Christ is payment for any sin ever committed. Ask God to forgive you. (He wants to and is just waiting for you to ask.)
Once you have done the above, you should feel much better. Try to find a Bible believing and teaching group of Christians (followers of Christ). Get a Bible and begin to read it for yourself. Don't take anyone's word about what it says. Read it for yourself. Ask God to help you to understand the words in the Bible and He will help you. The Holy Spirit will guide you and teach you. Spend time every day in prayer, reading, and worshipping the Father who cares so deeply for you. God will never break your heart.
Until next time,
Linda
