Too Busy Being Busy?

Do you ever get too busy being busy? That is what has happened to me lately. I hadn't realized that so much time had passed since I had written my last post here.

I sometimes forget that God says, "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalms 46:10

That is what I need to do at times because I do allow myself to get busy doing everything except what I should be doing...witnessing to others. I forget that it is okay to sit down and relax and do nothing except think upon the Lord.

When I do remember to be still, those are the times when the Lord speaks to me. I have to be still in order to hear Him speak to me. Why? Because He speaks in a still, small voice.

1Ki 19:11 And he [angel of the Lord] said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
1Ki 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
1Ki 19:13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?

Are you having problems hearing from the Lord lately? Maybe it is time that you also were quiet. Sit back and relax and ponder (think) on the things of God. Who knows. You may also hear His voice!

God bless until next time,
Linda
