Complaining
Shame on all of us. We ask God for many things. God blesses us with so much. How many times do we take the time to thank Him for all His blessings?
I guess that I can't speak for you. However, I can speak for myself. I should thank God everyday for everything that He provides me. I have a job. Yet, I complain almost everyday about that job. Shame on me. Many people are out there that don't have a job, can't get a job, and work hard looking for a job everyday. Here I have a job and complain about it everyday. There is not a day goes by lately that I haven't issued at least one complaint. SHAME ON ME!
Right now I take the time to Thank God! for everything He has done for me. I thank Him for my job, for my children, for my husband (yes, I complain about him too, God forgive me).
Lord, forgive me for my complaints. I have no excuse for complaining except that I have been very self-centered lately. It is "Poor me!" a lot lately. Forgive me, Lord. I have no excuse. I beg your forgiveness and the forgiveness from those against whom I have complained.
For those of you that have done the same lately, won't you take the time to look deep inside yourself and confess your sin. Yes, complaining is a sin - a least for me it is.
Do you have your health? Thank God. Do you have a job? Thank, God. Do you have children, grandchildren, spouse? Thank, God. Are you able to see? Thank, God. What about your hearing? Thank, God. Food on the table, a roof over your head? Thank, God.
Lord, forgive all of us of our complaining ways. Show us how to break that complaint habit. Show us how to turn those complaints into praise of You! Lead us, guide us, and most of all--forgive us. Amen.
Until next time,
