A Point of Contact

Do you need a point of contact for healing? Do you need a point of contact for your finances? Do you need a point of contact to come out of drug addiction, alcoholism, prostitution? Depression?

You already have that point of contact available to you. His name is JESUS! Reach out and grab your Point of Contact! Grab on to JESUS!
Jesus is the Healer. Jesus can heal you of your physical illnesses. He can heal you of your emotional illnesses. Jesus can rescue you from depression. Jesus can heal your financial problems.

Jesus is the Rescuer. He can rescue you from drug addiction. He can bring you out of alcoholism. He can bring you out of prostitution. He can break the bonds of homosexualism.

There is nothing that Jesus can't take care of. Only Jesus can bring you out of bondage. Whatever your bondage, Jesus is your Point of Contact. You don't need to send for an anointed cloth. You don't need to send money to someone for them to pray for you. You don't have to make a long trip somewhere to hear someone speak. Jesus is already there with you. Talk to HIM! Trust HIM!

Everything you need is already available through God and Jesus. God provided for you before you were born. It is up to you to grab that Point of Contact--Jesus! All you have to do is reach out and grab on to Him. Reach out for Jesus!

Tell Jesus you know you are a sinner. Confess all your sins to Him. Let Jesus know you are tired of living in sin and bondage. Ask Him to save you and to bring you out of all your sins and bondage.

Ask Jesus to deliver you from the sin you are in. Confess it all to Jesus! Leave nothing out.

Then, accept Jesus as your Savior. Accept Jesus as payment in full to God for all the sins you have committed. Accept Jesus as your Lord. Let Him lead and guide you. He will never leave you alone. Jesus will send the Holy Spirit to live within you. The Holy Spirit will teach you. The Holy Spirit will help you to keep that Point of Contact. That Point of Contact is Jesus!

Until next time may God bless and keep you!

Trust God to Know What's Best

I applied for a new job about a month ago. I just found out that I did not get that job. Am I angry that I did not get that job? NO! Why? Because I know that God has something better in store for me. I know God has a better job and that when I get that job I won't have to take a cut in pay. Praise God.

It all comes down to trusting God enough to know that He knows what is best for me. He never lets me down. It took me a long time to learn that lesson. And through learning that, I learned that by trusting God, I can also trust myself. I can trust myself to make the right decisions because I don't get in a hurry about things any more.

I trust God to know what's best. I have learned to wait upon the Lord.

Psalms 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Psalms 37:34 Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

Proverbs 20:22 Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.

Until next time,
Linda

A Throw-Away Society

In the United States, we are a throw-away society. More and more fast-foods are surfacing. Microwaves are cheaper to buy so that people can cook faster. Food comes in cans, packets, cardboard and plastic containers. All these containers go into the trash. The trash is then hauled to a dump site. The dump site becomes filled and then another dump site is created.

Next, some people started throwing away babies. They had a few minutes of fun. One to three months later, they realized they are pregnant with a child. What do they do now? They make a trip to a doctor who tears the baby out of the mother, piece by piece, and throws it away. Below is an excerpt from a story that appears online at Think About It Online. The story is named "My Abortion Story."

The baby's skull was already hardened so it required crushing to get it out. My baby was brought out of me piece by piece and thrown into the garbage. I know he felt pain because he was alive inside of me.

Where do we stop? The elderly are being murdered and babies are being thrown away.

What if you develop a minor disease? This disease you contracted won't kill you; but you will not be able to fully function at your job because once every three months you have to be off work to go to the doctor and have tests done. The times you need to be off are the end of the quarter and reports have to be run, checked, checked again, and then the final report has to be distributed (or a similar scenario for where you work).

Several scientists and physicians decide that people like you should be eliminated because you are a burden to society. It is time to throw you away. Society can not afford to carry you four times a year while you take off work to have some tests done. You are eliminated. Don't you wonder what awfully sounding name they will come up with to call your murder? They can't use "abortion" because that one is taken. They can't use "euthanasia" because that one is taken also. How about "useless", "disposable", "wasteable."

Where does it stop? Think about it.

Have a good day.

Work Your Own Ministry

You must work your own ministry. Do the work that God has given you to do. There are some who will try to push you down a ministry road where God has not called you to go. You will fail if you go down that road.

Now, that does not mean that you can not take advice from others. What it does mean is, if you know that is not the direction God wants you to go, regardless of how useful and helping that ministry would be, do not turn that direction. You will burn out fast. Besides that, God does not have to protect you when you are in a ministry that God did not call you for.

Do your own ministry. God will richly bless you. He will lead you, guide you and direct your steps. You will definitely not fail following the path that God has chosen for you.

Work your own ministry. God has work that needs to be done and only you can do that work. You are called for that specific purpose. If you go off and do the bidding of someone in another ministry, then you who is going to do the ministry that you were called for?

Think about it.

Have a good day,
Linda

A Nation That Doesn't Really Care!

By Linda Sedrick Pearson

Jeremiah 8:20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

People no longer care. People are backsliders. God calls them to repentance. He gives them a second chance.
Last warnings are being given today. Many are not saved today. Many are lost and without God. People are dying and leaving this world without God.
The saved are far out-numbered by those who don’t care about God. Spiritual darkness has settled everywhere. People are revolting, lying, cheating, and committing adultery.

God was grieved over sinful conditions before the flood. Only eight (8) persons were saved. Israel backslid and God was grieved. Our nation today is backslid. God is grieved.

God is the God of second chances; but, as a whole, our nation doesn’t care.

Matthew 9:37-38 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Jeremiah preached and wept on the streets for the people. He preached to them.
God became disgusted with this people. He told Jeremiah not to pray for them or cry for them anymore.

The Word of God always touches people unless their conscience has been seared over.
People are saying that God is out, Satan is in. Satan brings misery. He offers you the top; but he gives you the bottom.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

God always gives us another chance. Sin brings forth death. God brings forth life.
God told the people to follow Him. God tells us to sound the warning. If we don’t, the blood is on our hands.

Not one would hear Jeremiah. God sends out preachers, teachers and Christians today. The blood is taken off our hands as long as we tell people about Jesus. People don’t want to hear preaching; but, they want our prayers.

There is a thief in this nation. His name is Satan. He has stolen our decency, honesty, integrity, and respect.

There is a thief in our houses. The T.V.—Terrible Viewing. The ungodliness of this outweighs the good. Satan steals through this T.V. He steals our prayer time, Bible study time, family time….

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Think on the good things. We all need the Word of God now more than ever. No one cares for you like Jesus does. Dig deeper, pray more for our nation, leaders, churches. Pray that God won’t shut off our prayers. God forgives a caring nation. If a nation is not caring, then they are on their own.
It is time to take a real stand for what you believe. Who is on the Lord’s side?

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Christians, pray for the lost and for our country. Turn from our wicked ways. If we do, then God will heal our land. May God help us today to get the word out. The answers are in God’s word.

Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
