Jews and Gentiles Punished Together

Jews and Gentiles Punished Together

Jeremiah 9:25 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised.

The days are coming. Not one day, but days - plural. More than one day is coming. Something will happen on those days that are coming. God will punish all. He did not say a "few." He said, "All. "All them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised." The Jew (circumcised) and the Gentile (uncircumcised) will be punished together by God.

God made sure it was understood who the "all them" were. In the next verse, He names specific nations that will be under this punishment when the days come. He also names others for the punishment.

Jeremiah 9:26 Egypt, and Juday, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.

Specific nations named in Jeremiah 9:26 are: Egypt, Judah (part of God’s chosen Israel), Edom (South Jordan), Ammon (North Jordan), Moab (center Jordan).

God continues and tells others that will fall under His punishment: all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness. The utmost corners covers all nations. There is not one nation that will not fall under God's punishment if they do not listen to His words and commands. When God says to do something, He means for us to do it.

We all seem to want God's grace and mercy. Yet, are we willing to follow His commands that He gives us? If we don't, we fall under His punishment. People don't want to talk about the punishment. It's not nice to hear. To teach of God's punishment makes a person an outcast. Yet, when God says to teach it, we must teach it.

Remember when Jonah was sent to Nineveh? God sent Jonah to tell Nineveh that whole city would be destroyed unless they changed their ways and obeyed God's commands.

The first thing Jonah did was run away from the job God gave him to do. He (Jonah) was to warn a whole city that they were teetering on destruction from God. Instead, Jonah ran away and got into trouble. Because of Jonah's disobedience there were others that were put into danger. When God sent the tempest of the sea against the ship in which Jonah was hiding, the sailors of that ship were put in danger also. Finally, Jonah confessed that it was he who God was after. He told the sailors to toss him over the side and they would be safe. These sailors were more kind than Jonah. They didn't want to put Jonah in danger just so they would be safe. Jonah finally convinced them and he wound up in the belly of the "great fish." (Read Jonah Chapter 1.) Once those men obeyed and threw disobedient Jonah overboard, those men were saved. They called upon God and He saved them.

Meanwhile, the city of Nineveh was marked for destruction by God. But God withheld His hand from that city until one disobedient servant came to his senses and the city had a chance to repent. That servant had a job to do. Jonah's job was to issue the warning. What was Jonah's excuse for not going and following God's command? We don't find out his reason until chapter 4 of Jonah. This was after he did what God told him to do and the whole city repented and was saved. Here is what Jonah tells God:

But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry. And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, "I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my own country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil. Therefore now, O LORD take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live." (Jonah 4:1-3)

Because Jonah knew that God would not destroy the city if the people would repent and obey Him, Jonah ran away from the job God sent him to do. Then, as if that weren't enough, instead of rejoicing that those people were saved, he begged God to take his life because those people repented and obeyed God.

Has God given you a job to do? Are you running away? Are you sorrowful that people are saved? Maybe you have an enemy and God is sending you to that person to speak to him or her about salvation. Are you refusing to do that because you know if that person repents, God will save that person?

The salvation of a nation begins with the cities. The saving of the cities begins one person at a time. We can make a difference. It is up to each of us to do the jobs that God gives us. Please stop running away and get busy doing the job God has given you. Who knows, maybe our whole nation will turn from it's evil ways and be saved.

Are You Ready to Stand?

Here is another section from my Spiritual Notebooks that I have been keeping throughout the years. As you can see from the date, this one is from 1998.

July 19, 1998
I am ready to stand in the power of the Holy Spirit and stand for the Lord to protect the house of God. I am ready to stand against gossip, back-biting, harassment, and judgment against others who judge in the flesh.

It’s time to stop letting all these things come against God’s people. It is time to stand against the sickness that is coming against God’s people.

Let us stand in the power and boldness of the Spirit of the Lord. Let us stand for God and for what we believe. Are you ready to join the Lord God and take a stand for Him?

Do you want to stand against gossip? Walk off or tell them you don’t want to hear it. And by all means, don’t walk off and then go and repeat it to someone else. Stop talking about people behind their backs.

Do you want to stop back-biting? Ask God to take control of your mouth and tongue. Ask God to stop your mouth whenever you attempt to speak bad about someone else. If you have something to say about someone, speak to that person directly. If you have a problem with someone, speak to that person directly.

Are you ready to take a stand for the Lord God against harassment? Stop making sharp remarks to people when they enter into the church. Stop making cutting remarks to others.

Are you ready to take a stand against those who are judgmental? Stand in the power of the Holy Spirit. God is the only One who has the right to judge others. Stop looking at the clothes people wear or the way they comb their hair, or the color of their skin. These are not Godly judgments. God looks upon the heart. He will give you the Spiritual discernment to do the same.

Stand for God’s house, for the community, state, nation. Let’s help God take what belongs to Him.

Wise in Their Own Eyes

By Linda Sedrick Pearson

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

Those who lord glory of themselves over others are not wise and lifted-high. Instead, they are the lowest of the low.

These people who are "wise in their own eyes" don't have a clue as to what is real in this world, or in the next. They continue to laugh, and make fun, and call others ignorant and unlearned.

Instead, it is they who are in need of wisdom and knowledge. They don't have a clue! They are too busy in their insecurities of trying to make themselves look and feel important to humble themselves.

Those who are high shall be brought low. Those who are low shall be brought up higher than even these who think they are so intelligent and wise. Those who are "wise in their own eyes" are stupid, ignorant children who refuse to listen to true instruction. They think they are so important, so wise, and have such authority that they cannot be touched.

Hear, children, and see how low and how far they fall.

They shall be left in the dust. Shake off the dust of them. They will be left behind in the dust of your shoes.

Those who think they are "wise in their own eyes" will breathe the dust of your shoes and the wrath of God. Vengeance belongs to God. He will repay! Evil for evil and good for good.

Beat your chest and speak your own high-minded authority for now, you "wise in your own eyes" people! Your days are numbered.

God is angry with you.

You who think you are so haughty! You who think you are so wise! Continue on your path of deceit and manipulations. Continue stepping on others and beating down the spirits of others as you climb your ladder of authority. The higher you climb, the farther you must fall.

Repent! Clear your mind of your own perceived wisdom and knowledge. Humble yourself before the sight of God. Get down on your knees and pray for the forgiveness of God! Only He can forgive and only He can withdraw the hand of God!

Repent today! Do not wait! Do it right now! This moment!

If you continue in your sins of high-mindedness, deceit, manipulation, then you will be destroyed! You will be brought low. Lower than even your "wise in your own eyes" wisdom and knowledge can even imagine.

Stop scheming and manipulating.

It will work for you no longer. It stops now! If you repent, God will stay His hand. This is only because there is one who has prayed for you. There is one who has prayed that you will be able to see what you are doing and will repent.

Repent! Stop it! Now!

Get on your knees right now, wherever you are, and humble yourself before God. Beg His forgiveness. Get rid of your haughty attitudes and bring yourself low.

If you don't, God will bring you low! God's hand will rebuke and punish you!

Today is the day and this is your final warning! Humble your body, mind, spirit, and soul. Stop these evil ways. Stop your manipulations!

Vanities

8/4/2005
Jeremiah 10:1-8
"Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hand of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold: they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee. But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities."

Do NOT get involved in men's customs. Stop joining things that belong to Satan. Stop accepting into your homes those things that are made by the hands of men, but are pronounced to be gods. Some of you are touching some things that you should not be touching. Look around your home. Are there things that you were told represent God in heaven? If so, get rid of them. Statutes carved by the hands of men are to be destroyed. Do NOT pass them on to someone else. Destroy them completely.

Do you see the words written by Jeremiah that God gave him to write? "The work of the hand of the handman, with the axe" relates to people that create idols. Anything that tries to take on the appearance of God, or is professed to be molded or carved in the likeness of God, Jesus, or anything heavenly, is an idol. It must be destroyed. Not because it can do evil, but because it is supposed to represent God, Jesus, or some heavenly being. It is made with man's hands and has no power.

Are unexplainable things happening to you and your family? Are you tired of living in poverty? Are you tired of your children getting into trouble, your spouse mistreating you? Get rid of your idols. Pictures, sculptures, statues, anything molded in the likeness of man, a god, or a heavenly being must be destroyed. Destroy them all. Get them out of the house and destroy them. Then, anoint your heads with oil. Any kind of oil will do. Pray. Get on your knees and you pray for God's forgiveness for you having these in your home. Pray for God to cleanse you, your home, and your family from the evil that has come because of those things. Ask God to thoroughly cleanse everything that these things have come in contact with. This includes neighbors, friends, relatives, animals, and anything else that may have come in contact with those idols.

You have statues of innocent looking angels in your home. Get rid of them. Destroy them. Do NOT doubt the word of God. Worship God in heaven and Him only shall thou worship.

Which is better? For you to destroy these earthly things and be cleansed of the evil that having them brings upon you and instead be blessed by God? Or for you to keep these things because you think these words are made up and to wind up losing your soul and the souls of others around you? Do you want to take the chance of defying God? Do you want to risk angering God even more against you and your family?

If you do NOT want to take anymore chances with the souls of yourself and your family, get rid of your idols!

You can believe these words or not. It does not matter to me. I am writing what God told me to write today. God has spoken. If you want to take the chance and retain your statues, carvings, and pictures, and risk being cut off from God, then you go ahead and keep them. My hands are clean of this sin because I have alerted and informed you of what God has said.

Now, the decision is yours!

Sincerely,
Linda Sedrick Pearson
