God Is Never Out of Range

By Linda Sedrick Pearson

With all of the technology available today, it seems that people can always be in touch with one another. However, that is not true and is somewhat misleading. What if the person you are trying to reach has his cell phone turned off? Maybe you drove too far and now you are out-of-range? What does that mean? That means that you are not close enough to one of the cell phone towers for the tower to pick up the signals from your phone.

There is One that we can always depend on. Whenever we need to get in touch with God, He is always there. He never gets out of range and never turns off His “phone.” He is available to us 24/7 (24 hours a day, seven days a week).

Isn’t it nice to know that no matter what the time, distance, or weather God is always there to listen.

He is waiting to hear from you. What are you waiting for? Start talking to Him.

Servant and Friend

By Linda Sedrick Pearson

Love others not expecting anything back in return. Give out expecting it to keep going. The only way I can call Jesus friend is if I have a clean conscience and am doing what He wants me to do. A friend is someone that shares your life with you.

Servant--devoted to another, follows without question and without knowing, treated lowly, kept in the dark.

Friend--shares and becomes a part of a person's life, shares with us, gives to us; Jesus.

We are never alone if Christ is our friend. Joy will come to us if we do the things Christ wants us to do.

John 12:
44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Life everlasting to it's fullest comes from following Jesus fully. What Jesus said came from God the Father.
Do you abide in darkness or follow the Light? Does Jesus call you friend? Do you show Him true friendship?

Do you need to accept Him as Lord and Savior?

Is the LORD A Stranger in Your Land?

Jeremiah 14:8 "O hope of Israel, the Saviour therof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?"

Is the Lord a stranger in the land? When He knocks on the door of your heart, is He as a wayfaring man that turns aside to stay the night?

Have you accepted Jesus Christ the LORD as your Saviour? Have you invited Him in and request Him to stay with you forever?

Or, have you turned Him out and rejected Him? Is Jesus Christ as a wayfaring man to you? Is He a stranger to you?

Do you want to know Jesus? Do you want a real relationship with Him?

If your answers to the last two questions were "Yes" then keep reading. If your answers were "No," then I beg you to stop right now and search your heart and your mind. Look back on your life to see what it is that may be stopping you from inviting Jesus into your life.

If you are ready to accept Jesus as the LORD of your life and to have a real relationship with Him, then let's see what the Bible says you must do to be saved.

Realize that you are a sinner.

  1. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
  2. Galatians 3:22 "But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe."
  3. Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man, sin entered into the world, and death by sin: and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

Look at what you have earned as a sinner.

  1. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD."
  2. Mathew 25:46 "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."
  3. Romans 5:21 "That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our LORD."
  4. Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement."

See that Jesus Christ paid the price for your sins

  1. Hebrews 9:28 "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him, shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation."
  2. Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
  3. Luke 22:44 "And being in an agony, He prayed more earnestly: and His sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground."
  4. Matthew 26:50 "And Jesus said unto him, 'Friend, wherefore art thou come?' Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took Him."
  5. Matthew 26:67 "Then did they spit in His face, and buffeted Him; and others smote Him with the palms of their hands."
  6. Matthew 27:2 "And when they had bound Him, they led Him away, and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor."

2 Corinthians 13:2 "In the mouth of two or three witnesses shalle very word be established."

You have now been told the truth. Your fate is in your hands. It is your choice. Choose to accept and follow Jesus or choose to reject Him. It's up to you where you will spend eternity.
