Are You Fatherless?
Psalms 82:3 "Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy."
We are to be just in our dealings everyday and especially when dealing with the poor, fatherless, afflicted, and needy. So many people are hurting today. There are many children that are fatherless.
There are also many people that are Fatherless (never accepted God as their Father). They have never accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. They have never claimed Him as their own. God wants to be their Father so they will no longer be Fatherless. His heart breaks for them.
If you are one that has not accepted God as your Father, or you have not accepted Jesus Christ the Lord as your Savior, why not do so today. God brought you to this web site and this writing. He knows that you are poor, fatherless, afflicted, and needy. He loves you without question. He knows who you are in your heart, mind, and spirit. You are not hiding from God and you are not alone. God sent us His Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and comfort us.
Are you lonely? Reach out and accept Jesus Christ. He is there. All you have to do is reach out your hand and tell Him that you are sorry for your sins. Tell God that you are tired of being alone. Let Him know that you want Him to be a part of your life. Accept Jesus as payment for all of your sins.
Did you know that there is nothing you can do to earn God's love? It is a gift that was freely given to us. You can't work to earn salvation. You can't be "good enough" because none of us are good. Salvation is yours. All you have to do is accept it. A gift is not yours until you receive it.
Let me give you an earthly example. A friend walks up to you and holds out a present for you. It is not your birthday, anniversary, graduation, or any other special day. What would you do? Would you immediately reach out and take the gift? Or would you begin to question the friend as to why he (or she) felt compelled to give you a gift? Chances are you would ask some questions as to why this friend suddenly wants to give you a gift. (I know that I would, and have when this has happened to me.) Your friend finally convinces you that this gift is yours with no strings attached because this friend cares for you and appreciates your love and friendship. You don't have to do anything to receive the gift except reach out your hand and grab it.
That is the way salvation is through the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a gift that is free from God because He cares for you. Now, the decision is yours. Will you reach out and grab the gift of salvation by confessing your sins to God and accepting Jesus as payment in full? Don't wait any longer. There is no promise of tomorrow!
