Verse(s) Week of April 8-15, 2008
Two Sides to this Story, Part 2
This is continued from last week. You can find Part 1 here: http://www.lordshelpers.com/blogs/2008/04/verses-week-of-april-1-7-2008.html.
Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
Jude 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
This is the second side of this story. God tells us to continue to build ourselves up on our faith. Don't give up, no matter how much it looks like things are for the side of the evil and wicked. Continue on your path, don't fail, keep serving God. Continue to watch for our Lord Jesus Christ. He is coming again - I don't know when - only God knows the day and the hour that will happen. For now, it should be sufficient for you to know that He is coming back for us!
Until Jesus comes back for us, we are to continue to spread His word as much as we can. This is the job of every Christian. We are to spread the word to anyone that will listen. Friends, family, and strangers are to whom we are to spread the gospel. Don't forget your neighbors either. With spring coming on more people will be out enjoying the nice weather. Give people a smile and a hello. Watch what you do and how you act when out in public. Don't get impatient at checkout lines, when driving your car, and other day-to-day things we must do. People are watching to see how we handle situations. Spread the gospel to others through your actions and deeds. You don't have to be of eloquent speech (remember that was one of Moses' concerns) in order to show Jesus to others. It is probably our actions and reactions that speak much louder than any words that are preached by anyone. They also fall on more people. Pay attention to your actions and reactions. Spread the gospel by letting people see how a Christian handles situations.
Until next time,
